Northern Valley Indian Health is Hiring an Administrative Assistant to CEO Near Willows, CA

Job Description:


POSITION SUMMARY
: Under general supervision from the Admin and Media Coordinator, this position will provide administrative assistance to the office of the CEO. General scope of responsibilities will be to handle tasks as delegated by the Admin and Media Coordinator relating to social media and website updates, miscellaneous administrative duties related to Board business and other administrative tasks.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The list that follows is not intended as a comprehensive list, but rather to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities. Incumbent(s) will be required to perform a variety of duties listed, including but not limited to:

  • Content creation and maintenance of website and social media pages and accounts as directed to ensure accurate and timely updates to the public.
  • Create flyers, graphics, and other forms of visual media using Adobe Suite.
  • Event photography and photo editing
  • Full-cycle event planning including but not limited to planning, coordinating and collaborating with supervisor as well as day-of managing event.
  • Perform and/or organize administrative activities in order to help in keeping Admin and Media Coordinator office running smoothly.
  • Provide administrative support to the office of the CEO as needed.
  • Communication with various departments in the agency as well as outside agencies through email, telephone, and written correspondence.
  • Various administrative tasks including but not limited to distribution of materials or communication, compiling reports, etc.
  • Schedule and organize meetings and record minutes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience:


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

The following knowledge, skills, and abilities are required for an employee to successfully perform their duties.

  • High school diploma and two (2) years of administrative assistance experience; or Administrative Assistant Education Degree/Certificate.
  • Experience or proficiency with Graphic Design and Adobe Suite preferred.
  • Advanced computer skills essential.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective interpersonal skills in maintaining work relationships and in guiding co-workers.
  • Ability to multitask, excellent organizational skills and follow through.
  • Ability to type 50 wpm (typing test certificate required), use and maintain general office equipment, i.e. copier, fax, printer, etc.
  • Ability to organize, adapt, and prioritize daily tasks independently.
  • Ability to make accurate entries and mathematical calculation quickly and accurately.
  • Must have reliable transportation and flexibility to travel between company facilities as needed.
